Diagnostic fees at Throttle & Hum are $60 for riding lawn mowers and $40 for all other small engine equipment. The diagnostic fee includes an inspection and a written repair quote. If you choose to proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee is applied toward the total service cost.

If Throttle & Hum determines your Stihl equipment is not economically worth repairing and you choose to purchase a replacement Stihl unit from us, we will waive the $40 diagnostic fee. We want to make sure you get the most value whether that means a repair or a new piece of equipment.
